Fans of Barrow AFC are reacting to news of Tyler Smith’s return to Sheffield United.

The Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder, confirmed on Thursday that Smith has been recalled from his Barrow loan spell and could be involved for the Blades against West Bromwich Albion on Friday.

The 20-year-old striker scored 10 goals in 23 National League games for the Bluebirds, helping his temporary employers to 12th in the table.

But what have those who have watched Smith closely this season made of the Sheffield United academy product, who has yet to make a competitive appearances in Blades colours?

Sheffield United could be without Leon Clarke (pictured below, right) for West Brom’s visit, hence the decision to bring Smith back to Bramall Lane.

The local lad made a positive impression on several Blades fans after appearing in the club’s pre-season campaign, before making his first foray into competitive men’s football.
