Rangers winger Barrie McKay has told The Glasgow Evening Times that he wants to remain at the Scottish giants next season.

McKay has been on the books of Rangers since 2011 and has a contract with the Scottish Premiership giants until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The 22-year-old is a very good and talented winger, and has already proved himself in the top flight of Scottish football. The youngster has revealed that he wants to remain at Rangers next season.

“You would need to ask him (Pedro Caixinha) [if I have played my way into his plans],” The Glasgow Evening Times quotes McKay as saying. “Hopefully. I want to be playing here. It is a great club and where I want to be playing.”

McKay’s comments about his future should be welcomed by the Rangers fans. Back in April, The Daily Mail reported that the youngster had turned down the offer of a new contract.

The winger’s aforementioned comments clearly show that he wants to remain part of Pedro Caixinha’s team for the 2017-18 campaign.

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 61 points from 35 matches. The Glasgow giants will take on Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox in the league on Saturday afternoon.
