Adam Hammill (R) scores Wolves’ second goal
Barnsley’s excellent form since returning to the Championship continued this week with an emphatic win against Wolves at the Molineux.
The Tykes win 4-0 in a crushing defeat in the Midlands.
For Wolves the result was another bitter pill to swallow. After an impressive start to the season this was their third game in a row in the Championship without a win, but it was the manner of defeat that was most disheartening.
Seeing an old face find the net for their opponents certainly did not help matters for Wolves.
Adam Hammill scored the second goal for the Yorkshiremen. The winger spent two rather frustrating years at Wolves, after joining from Barnsley in 2011.

As the 28-year-old explained to the official Barnsley website, this made his goal v Wolves all the sweeter:
“It was marvellous.
“To get on the score-sheet and on an old hunting ground, it`s great for me on a personal level but more importantly it was a great team performance and an emphatic win in the end.”
Hammill only played 23 league games during his time at Wolves – scoring one goal in a League Cup tie – and could not get regular football at the club under three different managers.
But he has turned his career on its head in recent times and Barnsley are currently reaping the benefits.
