Leeds United youngster Mallik Wilks seems to have impressed Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel.

A report on Football Insider has claimed of interest of Barnsley in Leeds striker Wilks.
The 20-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as as a striker, played well for Doncaster Rovers in League One last season and helped them progress to the playoffs.
Barnsley boss Stendel has stated his admiration of Wilks, and he was impressed with the youngster’s display for Doncaster last season.

Signing for Barnsley
Wilks is a very good and promising young striker, but the 20-year-old is unlikely to break into the Leeds first team next season.
It would make sense for the striker to join Barnsley in the summer transfer window, either on loan or on a permanent basis.
Barnsley will play in the Championship next season after clinching automatic promotion from League One.
