Barnsley are without a boss after Paul Heckingbottom’s departure earlier on Tuesday.

Barnsley fans are reacting to news of Paul Heckingbottom’s departure for Leeds United, with two recently sacked Championship managers among the most prominent suggestions to replace the 40-year-old at Oakwell.
Heckingbottom leaves Barnsley just four days after he signed a new contract with the club he grew up supporting, played for and then managed.
The swiftness of the move means the Tykes have had little chance to consider who might replace Heckingbottom, who has taken three staff members with him to Elland Road, leaving Barnsley Under-23s boss Paul Harsley in caretaker charge.

But Tykes fans are already putting names forward for the role, with Mark Warburton and Garry Monk proving popular shouts so far.
Warburton was sacked by Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Eve, eight days after Monk suffered the same fate at Middlesbrough.
Here’s what the Barnsley faithful are saying on Twitter…
Appointing Monk, who walked out on Leeds last summer, would add yet more spice to April’s meeting of the two sides at Elland Road.
