Barnsley defender Josh Kay is a target for a number of National League sides on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Kay has impressed at Barnsley since joining the club from AFC Fylde in the winter transfer window last January.
The 19-year-old came through the Fylde youth system and he won his move to Barnsley after impressing on trial at the South Yorkshire club.

The all-action midfielder is yet to make his first-team debut for Barnsley, but he is on the fringes of Paul Heckingbottom’s side after catching the eye in the club’s Under-23s side.
Kay, whose current deal expires at the end of the season, regularly trains with the first-team and is highly regarded within the corridors of power at Okawell
Kay’s progress at Barnsley has not gone unnoticed higher up with the football pyramid with a number of Premier League scouts also monitoring the midfielder’s situation.
Several National League sides have made enquiries about taking Kay on loan with the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Eastleigh and Southport all keen on signing Kay, but Barnsley have rejected the overtures as they look to keep the player around the first-team at Oakwell.
