Nottingham Forest are on the hunt for a new manager, following Philippe Montanier’s dismissal.
Barnsley boss Paul Heckinbottom has distanced himself from the Nottingham Forest job, through his comments to BBC Radio Sheffield.
Heckinbottom is currently the bookies’ favourite to become Forest’s next permanent manager.
However, the 39-year-old insists that he has no interest in taking the job – as there is so much uncertainty around the City Ground at the moment.
“What a club it is, a great football club. But they’re in lots and lots of uncertainty at the minute, aren’t they,” Heckingbottom said.
“There’s been lots of people linked with it and they’ve all said the same – what would be the point in going there as it is. My feelings are exactly the same.”
Forest are on the look out for a new manager, following the dismissal of Philippe Montanier earlier this month.
Montanier was let go, with the Reds struggling near the foot of the Championship table.
Gary Brazil is currently in caretaker charge, and he has had mixed success in his first two matches at the helm.
Brazil guided Forest to victory over Bristol City, but the Reds lost their most recent match 2-0 against Leeds United last night.
Forest are currently in 19th place in the Championship table, five points above the drop zone.
