The Barcelona star would be a superb addition to the Tottenham Hotspur squad.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has plenty of work to do over the summer, as he looks to improve his squad, and build a group of players capable of going one step further than they did this season.
The Argentine arguably has the strongest starting XI in the Premier League at his disposal, so any signings that he does make must be of genuine quality, if they are to improve upon what he already has.
With this in mind, the Lilywhites should consider a move for Barcelona star Rafinha, after Spanish media outlet Marca claimed that the Brazilian could be available for transfer this summer for just £26 million, with Liverpool, Juventus and Roma leading the race for his signature.
Barcelona’s Rafinha in action
The 24-year-old play-maker is one of the most technically gifted players on the planet, having graduated from Barca’s famed La Masia academy, and possesses all the attributes needed to be a success in the Premier League.
Rafinha is just as strong with both feet, and can play in a wide range of positions, including central midfield, anywhere along the front-line, and when needed, he can even be deployed in the central striker role.
The Brazilian’s arrival at Spurs would give everyone a lift, and crucially, would ease the pressure on Christian Eriksen, who is expected to produce for Tottenham from a creative perspective every single time he takes to the pitch.
Rafinha
In a game of such fine margins, the addition of someone of the Barcelona man’s ilk could make all the difference next season for Pochettino’s side, as they look to compete for major honours on all fronts.
And for the price of £26 million being reported by Marca, Tottenham simply cannot afford to miss out on Rafinha.
