Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Barcelona ace recently.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are still keen to sell reported Tottenham target Rafinha, but as they are still yet to receive a bid for the Brazilian, a loan move might have to suffice.

Spurs are keen on bringing the Barca ace to north London this summer, according to Spanish publication Sport, and a loan move to White Hart Lane might just be the ideal outcome for all parties involved.

Mauricio Pochettino will surely be looking to bolster his attacking midfield department at Tottenham this summer, and Rafinha could be the ideal candidate.

According to Sport, the 25-year-old is available for €35 million (£31 million) this summer, and whilst he would be a useful addition to the Spurs squad, that would still be a lot of money to spend on someone who is a totally unproven commodity in the English game.

Hence why a loan move would suit Tottenham perfectly.

Rafinha Alcantara of FC Internazionale looks on during the serie A match between Atalanta BC and FC Internazionale at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia on April 14, 2018 in Bergamo, Italy.

Rafinha is a cultured central midfielder, but he can also operate in a more advanced position on either wing, or in the number 10 role.

His game and playing style has all the hallmarks of a typical Pochettino signing, and a season-long loan with Spurs would provide him with the opportunity to prove that he has what it takes to succeed at the very highest level.

Tottenham should also try to insert an option to buy clause into his contract, so that if he does prove to be a success in north London, they can make his transfer from Barca a permanent one the following summer.
