Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told Barcelona that he does not want to bring Philippe Coutinho back to Anfield, according to El Nacional.
What’s the story?
El Nacional are reporting that Coutinho wanted to return to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Barcelona have been hoping that Liverpool would re-sign the Brazil international attacking midfielder in the January transfer window should he have a successful first half of the season.
However, Liverpool boss Klopp has made it clear that he does not want to bring back the 29-year-old, who can also play as a winger, according to the report.
Sensible stance?
Coutinho is a very good player, but the Brazil international has not had the best of times at Barcelona.
Now, of course, we know that the former Inter Milan man was a success at Liverpool and knows the Premier League inside out.

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino called his Brazilian compatriot “phenomenal” who has “magical powers”, as quoted on FIFA in October 2020.
However, Liverpool do not need to sign the Kia Joorabchian client.
The Reds have moved on, and Coutinho would not exactly fit into the way they play right now.
Yes, the Brazilian would be a good option to have on the substitutes’ bench, but he is 29 now and Liverpool do not tend to sign players in their late 20s.
