Barcelona will face Celtic at Camp Nou in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Barcelona defender Jordi Alba has been quoted as saying by Herald Scotland that Celtic are very good on the ball.
The Spanish giants will take on Scottish Premiership outfit Celtic at home in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Luis Enrique’s Barcelona side will head into the Group C game at Camp Nou as favourites.
However, left-back Alba, who should start the match, is not underestimating the threat posed by the Bhoys.
The 27-year-old Spain international, who won the Champions League with Barca in 2015 and is considered as one of the best left-backs in the world, has said that his team will have to play well at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening in order to pick up all three points from the match.
“We are excited about the Champions League getting underway,” Herald Scotland quotes Alba as saying.
“In Celtic, we face an opponent who have improved a lot since we last met them three years ago. You can see that. We have watched them a lot.
“Celtic are very good on the ball. We are going to have to play well because we want to start this competition with three points.”
Barcelona are clear favourites for Tuesday evening’s match, but Celtic will head into the encounter with confidence.
Brendan Rodgers’s side hammered Old Firm rivals Rangers 5-1 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Barcelona went down 2-1 to Alaves at Camp Nou in La Liga on Saturday evening.
