Barcelona are interested in signing Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa in the January transfer window, according to CMW.
The report has claimed that Barcelona are ready to make an offer to Premier League club Villa to bring Luiz to Camp Nou in the middle of the season.
The former La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners are willing to include midfielder Franck Kessie in a cash-plus-player deal for the Brazil international midfielder.
CMW have reported that AC Milan and Juventus are interested in Luiz as well.
Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa to Barcelona is unlikely
In our view, it is unlikely that Aston Villa will sell Douglas Luiz to Barcelona – or t0 any other club for the matter – in the January transfer window.
After all, the 24-year-old – described as “unbelievable” by ex-Villa manager Dean Smith in The Birmingham Mail in June 2020 – former Manchester City prospect signed a new long-term contract with Villans only in October.
Villa will surely not him in January, especially as they have a new manager in Unai Emery now.
Now, of course, we know that money talks, but if Luiz is to leave Villa, then it would be next summer at the earliest, not in January.
