Tottenham’s attempts to sign Cedric Soares from Southampton are set to be complicated by interest from Barcelona, with The Sun reporting the La Liga giants are preparing to make a £15 million bid.

The Mirror reported yesterday that Tottenham are eyeing Soares as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker.

Barcelona have been linked to Soares before, but their interest could be moved forward as they grow frustrated in their pursuit of Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, The Sun report.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported yesterday that Barcelona were giving the right-back a 10 day deadline to push through a move to the Nou Camp.

Arsenal have so far given no indication they are ready to cash in on the Spaniard, who they signed from Barcelona as a teenager.

Cedric Soares signed a new contract with Southampton last summer which runs until 2020, and new boss Mauricio Pellegrino will be keen to avoid losing the Euro 2016 winner.
