Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are interested in Joao Cancelo, but it is Barcelona who are now actively trying to sign the Manchester City full-back.
According to 90min, Arsenal and Barcelona are interested in signing Joao Cancelo from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal have shown “an interest in Cancelo” and are keen on bringing the Portugal international full-back to the Emirates Stadium, but Barcelona are “now stepping up their efforts”.
90min has claimed that Barcelona have already spoken to Cancelo’s camp.

The Manchester City player would not have any issues agreeing personal terms with the La Liga champions.
Barcelona are now ready to push ahead with a move to secure the services of Cancelo this summer and would ideally like a loan with an option to buy the £180,000-a-week (SalarySport) star.
Arsenal should step up Joao Cancelo pursuit
In our opinion, if Arsenal really want to sign Joao Cancelo in the summer transfer window, then they should make a move for the Manchester City full-back now.
The Premier League season will soon get underway.
And with Barcelona very active regarding Cancelo, time is of the essence for Arsenal.
Cancelo is a very good full-back who is 29 and is at the top of his game at the moment.
Although the Portugal international did not have the best of times during his loan spell at Bayern Munich in the second half of last season, he is a very capable player who has been superb for Manchester City in the Premier League.
We have no doubt that Cancelo would be a success at Arsenal and would be able to hit the ground running.
The big question is whether Arsenal need to sign Cancelo in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal signed Jurrien Timber this summer.
Timber can play as a right-back or as a centre-back.
Ben White played as a right-back for Arsenal last season.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also has Takehiro Tomiyasu at his disposal to play at full-back.
Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko are the two main options at left-back for Arsenal.
