According to Mundo Deportivo, Adrien Rabiot is set to move from PSG to Barcelona, and the deal could help Everton.

Everton have their eyes on Andre Gomes and Riqui Puig, according to the Sunday Mirror (December 16, page 65), and Rabiot’s arrival may convince them that a move to Goodison Park would be good for them.

Rabiot joining Barcelona is only set to make competition for places in the Catalan side’s midfield even harder, which may make Everton seem more appealing.

Everton are not going to be able to compete with Barcelona for prestige, but they can offer more opportunities than the La Liga giants.

Riqui Puig of FC Barcelona looks on during the Joan Gamper Trophy match between FC Barcelona and Boca Juniors at Camp Nou on August 15, 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.

And for Puig, in particular, that should be an appealing prospect, as he looks to fulfil his potential.

Puig is set to have yet another obstacle put in his path at the Camp Nou, if Rabiot arrives.

But if he was to move to Everton he could get first-team football immediately, and the potential move to Merseyside may well be becoming more and more appealing to the youngster.
