FC Barcelona have reportedly agreed personal terms with Leeds United superstar Raphinha, with the Brazilian international one step close to joining the La Liga giants.

According to Sport, an agreement has been reached between the winger and Barcelona, with both parties hoping that reaching a compromise on personal terms might push to Leeds opening transfer talks with the Catalan side.

As per the report, Jesse Marsch’s side have already rejected a €35m (£29m) offer from Barcelona, with Leeds hoping to recoup at least £50m for the 25-year-old attacker, a fee that Xavi Hernandez is looking to reduce through incentives or ever a player swap.

With Barcelona and Raphinha now agreeing personal terms, the pressure will be on Leeds to secure a sold transfer fee for the former Ligue 1 attacker, with the Brazilian having an electric season with the Whites in the Premier League.

The winger has bagged nine goals and three assists in the top-flight and has been a large reason why Leeds find themselves fairly safe from the relegation battle, with Raphinha delivering in some huge matches for the Yorkshire side.

However, it is now looking more likely than ever that Raphinha will be making the move to Catalonia, with Barcelona agreeing personal terms with the forward and pressure now on Leeds to strike a deal with the Camp Nou side in the coming weeks.

Raphinha departing Leeds has slowly involved into a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’, yet if the Brazilian is to depart Elland Road, Marsch and company need to ensure they are getting a fee that suits the valuation for the Barcelona target.

After all, Raphinha has been one of the most enjoyable players to watch in the Premier League this season, and his form and performances for Leeds more than justify the £50m they want from Barcelona for the 25-year-old sensation, who could be a superstar in La Liga.
