Leeds United went into this transfer window needing to sign a left back – and it looks like Junior Firpo will fill that role.
The Whites knew that Ezgjan Alioski would likely be leaving the club, with his contract expiring today.
Finding a replacement was vital, and it looks like Barcelona talent Firpo is now bound for Elland Road this summer.
Leeds move for Firpo
According to SPORT, Firpo is now expected to join Leeds in a deal worth around €15million (£13million).
Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta have allegedly convinced Firpo to join, as he was initially ‘reluctant’ to join a Premier League team.
The 24-year-old needs first-team action after struggling for playing time at Barcelona, and looks to be a huge coup for Leeds.

How have Barcelona described Firpo?
Barcelona’s official website has raved about Firpo, branding him ‘tireless’ whilst raving about ‘electricity’ down the left flank.
Barca also claimed that Firpo ‘dominates’ possession whilst branding him a ‘concern for opposition defences’.
The task will now be for Marcelo Bielsa to get the best out of him, but the attributes seem to align perfectly with El Loco’s style of play.
If Leeds can get Firpo back on track, they may well have an unbelievable coup on their hands.
