Barcelona’s fire sale has continued, with Luis Suarez joining Atletico Madrid as the Catalan giants attempt to rebuild.
Nelson Semedo, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal have moved on too, ad it now seems that youngsters could be on the move.
Monchu has been sent to Girona, and winger Alex Collado may be leaving the Camp Nou before the October transfer deadline.
The Scottish Daily Mail (23/09, back page and p86) report that Celtic are keen to sign Collado, with Nick Hammond looking into a deal to lure the Spaniard to Glasgow.
Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio adds that Sampdoria have started talks to sign the 21-year-old wide man, with a real battle emerging for Collado’s signature.
Collado spent last season with Barcelona B, scoring five goals and five assists, but with first-team opportunities hard to come by, he could be on the way out.

Celtic fans may not know too much about Collado ahead of a possible move to Parkhead, but Barcelona fans have shown how highly they rate him in their reactions to the Sampdoria rumours.
Fans took to Twitter to slate the club’s board for considering letting Collado leave, believing that offloading him would be a ‘disgrace’ and that they lack vision for constantly selling homegrown prospects.
Others are begging that it’s only a loan move rather than a permanent sale, seemingly feeling that Collado should be given a chance to step into the first team rather than moved on – and that should excite Celtic fans.
