Some Barcelona fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want Ernesto Valverde.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Tottenham are looking into the possibility of appointing Valverde as their new manager.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Spurs have already made an approach for the 57-year-old.

Valverde is out of work at the moment.

The 57-year-old was sacked as the Barcelona head coach in January 2020.

When the Spaniard lost his job at Camp Nou, Barca were actually at the top of the La Liga table on goal difference.

The Blaugrana also won the La Liga title twice and the Copa del Rey once under Valverde.

The main problem with Valverde was that he could not win the Champions League with Barcelona.

Barca reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2017-18 and the semi-finals in 2018-19.

It is not easy to win the La Liga ahead of the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

But Valverde did it twice.

It shows that he is a very good manager, although you could argue that he had arguably the best player in the world at his disposal.

Lionel Messi.

So, what do Barcelona fans make of Valverde?

Below are some of the best comments from Barcelona fans after hearing that Valverde is now reportedly on the radar of Tottenham.
