Some Barcelona fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking Ousmane Dembele with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
What’s the story?
TEAMtalk have reported that Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing Barcelona forward Dembele.
Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards has told his bosses to bring the 24-year-old to Anfield on a free transfer next summer.
Dembele is out of contact at La Liga club Barcelona at the end of the season.
Mundo Deportivo have reported that Barcelona think that Dembele’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, has offered him to a number of clubs, including Liverpool.
GiveMeSport quoted former Barcelona forward Lionel Messi, now at Paris Saint-Germain, as saying about Dembele in March 2020: “His pace is frightening in training.”
What are Barcelona fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Barcelona fans are fine with the prospect of Dembele leaving for Liverpool.
Well, some of them anyway.
Some Barcelona fans are actually dreaming of a swap deal involving Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
Salah is one of the best players in the world and has developed into a potent forward.
The Egypt international would be a stunning signing for Barcelona, but we do not think that he will join the Spanish giants in any deal involving Dembele.
Why?
Well, because Liverpool are planing to sign Dembele on a free transfer next summer.
So, there is not even any prospect of a swap deal, although some Barcelona fans would like to think otherwise, as you can see below.
