Barcelona’s Malcom won’t be facing Spurs on Wednesday night.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Barcelona at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night, as they look for a first win of their Champions League group stage campaign.
Spurs lost 2-1 at Inter Milan in their first group stage game, and must now attempt to beat Barca to kickstart their campaign in what is a daunting task despite Barca’s recent shaky form.
The likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho will all be in action for Barca tomorrow night, but one man who won’t be playing is Malcom.
Barcelona famously swooped in to sign the Brazilian winger from Bordeaux this summer when his move to Roma was almost secured, but he has found playing time hard to come by in Catalunya.
Malcom has made just two appearances under Ernesto Valverde, both coming as a substitute whilst totalling just 25 minutes – and he hasn’t even been named in the squad to face Tottenham.
Malcom will instead by left back in Spain as Valverde’s bizarre exclusion of the winger continues, and he subsequently won’t get to face the team who wanted to sign him this summer, as Spurs made contact about a deal according to Le10 Sport in France. In fact, if Malcom’s struggles continue, Tottenham should keep him on their radar moving forward.

Now, Barcelona fans have been taking to Twitter to slam Valverde, questioning why he won’t even name Malcom in his squad but has taken three goalkeepers to London, believing he is completely mistreating Barca’s summer signing.
Some called Valverde ‘cruel’ and accused him of showing disrespect to Malcom, with disbelief that he is being left to rot just months after Barca paid up to sign him.
