FC Barcelona are reportedly exploring loan options for Julian Araujo just five months after the La Liga giants signed the Mexican international from the LA Galaxy.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the reigning Spanish champions are looking to send the defender out on a temporary basis this summer, though the current expectation is that Araujo will be part of Xavi Hernandez’s Barcelona plans for pre-season.
As per the report, Barcelona are aware that they have been unfair on Araujo since his move to Europe, with the right-back unable to play for the club due to the defender’s transfer to Catalonia happening outside of a sanctioned FIFA transfer window.

Despite this, Araujo remains highly-rated at Barcelona, with a loan spell next season expected to get the defender back up to speed having missed the last few months of soccer. Moreover, top European clubs have already been linked with the former Galaxy star.
Sport have reported that Dutch champions Feyenoord are interested in Araujo, and whilst it’s unknown what the Rotterdam-based club want from the defender, a move to the Netherlands could be a dream move for the former MLS wonderkid.
Araujo should be pushing Barcelona for top European loan move

Araujo is clearly a talented player who ended up on the wrong end of the stick for what was ultimately a messy transfer to Barcelona. Yet the last five months won’t dictate the defender’s career, and a top loan move this summer to one of Europe’s elite could be perfect for the fullback.
As Galaxy supporters should know, Araujo is a top prospect who is as determined as they come in soccer. And a loan move to a Feyenoord or a similar club would be the dream scenario for the Mexican international, who has everything to prove next season.
