FC Barcelona could reportedly drop out of the race to sign Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, with Arsenal and Tottenham also keen on the 16-year-old attacker alongside the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid.
According to Marca, the La Liga side are not willing to invest heavily in a player that won’t be able to play for Barcelona until 2024, with Endrick unable to move to Europe until he turns 18 as Palmeiras look to earn a huge payday from their generational talent.
With a release clause of €70m (£61m) as reported by Mundo Deportivo, Endrick is set to become one of the most expensive teenagers in world football. However, Barcelona are inching closer to dropping out of the race for the forward despite interest from many of their European rivals.
As per Marca, Chelsea are the current favourites to sign Endrick, whilst PSG are also hot on the South American’s trail. And as reported by Jorge Nicola, Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in signing the 16-year-old, with interest continuing to intensify for the teenager with each passing week.

Indeed, Barcelona dropping out of the race will be massive for the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in their quest to sign Endrick. Yet whilst the north London duo now face less opposition, it still doesn’t make their job any easier of actually convincing the youngster to move to England.
Whilst Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte have shown to be on the right track with their respective clubs, it will ultimately be up to Endrick to decide on which team best fits his future plans and which side has the best potential to get the best out of his abilities.
Barcelona not signing Endrick more beneficial for Chelsea than anyone else

Likened to Cristiano Ronaldo as per Palmeiras’ academy director Joao Paulo Sampaio, there’s no telling how far Endrick can go with the right coaching and development plan. Yet whilst Barcelona dropping out of the race is a boost for Arsenal and Tottenham, Chelsea are the real winners from this update.
After all, the Blues have been in the lead to sign Endrick for many weeks, and Barcelona’s stance on the youngster will only aid Graham Potter in bringing the Brazilian wonderkid to Stamford Bridge, where the attacker could become a superstar in the years to come.
