FC Barcelona are reportedly convinced they’re selling Clement Lenglet to Tottenham this summer despite recent rumours that Inter Milan are looking to move for the defender.
According to Sport, the Catalan giants are in the process of selling the 27-year-old Frenchman to Tottenham even with Inter sending an enquiry for Lenglet, with the Serie A giants keen on signing the former Sevilla star despite Spurs having an agreement with Barcelona.
Labelled as an ‘excellent’ defender, Lenglet joined Tottenham on loan last summer with Spurs having an option to make the deal permanent this year, with the north London side seemingly intent on adding the Barcelona centre-back to their ranks beyond this season.
However, Inter are now causing some minor problems for Tottenham and Barcelona, with the Nerazzurri keen on signing the French defender amid a mass centre-back overhaul in the blue side of the San Siro, with Lenglet a target for the Italian giants.
As per the report, Inter have sent enquiries for Eric Garcia and Samuel Umtiti, two other Barcelona-owned defenders who look set to leave the Camp Nou this summer. Yet for Tottenham, news of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists moving for Lenglet is bound to annoy Daniel Levy.

Lenglet has hardly set the world alight since joining Tottenham on loan last year, yet with Barcelona now convinced that they’re selling the defender to the north London side, the Catalan side will feel like they’ve pulled off a masterstroke of a deal for the Frenchman.
As we know, Barcelona have been trying to offload Lenglet for what feels like forever, and with the centre-back impressing just enough for Tottenham to sign the 27-old on a permanent transfer, Xavi’s side can feel proud with the business they have done for the former Sevilla man.
