Barcelona are confident of signing Leeds United winger Raphinha ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, according to Sport.
Sport have reported that Barcelona have had an initial bid of €35 million (£29.14m) for Leeds winger Raphinha already turned down.
The Brazil international winger has a release clause of €70 million (£62.45m) in his contract.
Sport have reported that Barcelona are confident of signing Raphinha because of their good relationship with his agent Deco, who is a former Camp Nou star.
Barcelona plan to resume talks with Leeds over Raphinha in the coming days.
UOL reported this month that Liverpool are among the clubs who have taken the first ‘concrete’ steps to sign the former Rennes star, who earns £63,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).

Liverpool to miss out on Raphinha to Barcelona?
In our opinion, given how keen Barcelona are on the 25-year-old winger, it does seem likely at the moment that Liverpool will miss out on the Leeds star in the summer transfer window.
Playing for Xavi at Barcelona could be tempting for the 25-year-old who has been superb for Leeds.
As it would be for any other footballer.
Now, we also have to take into consideration that Liverpool signed Luis Diaz in the January transfer window for £37 million and may not be willing to spend big again in the summer of 2022.
However, we should also note that Barcelona are not exactly in real financial state and may not be able to cough up Raphinha’s release clause if Leeds do not sell him for anything less than his release clause.
