Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has no interest in joining Arsenal before tonight’s transfer deadline amid suggestions of a swap for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Dembele just isn’t interested in being part of a swap for Aubameyang.

Dembele is out of contract at the end of the season and Barcelona are desperate to get rid before tonight’s deadline.

The Independent reported earlier today that Barcelona had offered Dembele up to Arsenal in exchange for Aubameyang.

Even if Arsenal were interested in that deal, winger Dembele has seemingly made it clear that he isn’t.

What may make matters even worse for Arsenal is that The Guardian claim a deal for Aubameyang to join Barcelona is collapsing.

That means Dembele might stay at Barcelona with Aubameyang stuck at Arsenal once the deadline passes.

This is far from ideal for either side, who have been desperate to offload their high earners before the deadline.

Dembele, 24, was supposed to be the next big thing when Barcelona paid £135million to sign him from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Branded a ‘phenomenon’ by Lionel Messi, Dembele appeared to have it all; pace, trickery, dribbling ability and an eye for goal.

Sadly, injuries have been a huge factor for Dembele and he is in danger of letting all of that potential go to waste.

Dembele likely wants to wait until the end of the season to decide his future, when he will no doubt have huge offers on the table as a free agent.

It now looks like Arsenal will end the day without a new signing on board, with Dembele’s snub potentially spelling the end of Edu’s business today.

Missing out on an attacking addition would be a huge blow for Arsenal, as would being lumped with Aubameyang – who seemingly has no way back under Mikel Arteta – until the summer.
