John Aldridge has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s win against Sheffield United on Saturday evening.
Liverpool got the better of the Blades 2-1 at Anfield in the Premier League.
Although Sander Berge put the visiting team in the lead from the penalty spot after just 13 minutes, Roberto Firmino restored parity for the defending English champions on 41 minutes.
Diogo Jota scored what proved to be the winning goal on 64 minutes, as the Reds picked up all three points from the encounter.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are now second in the Premier League table with 13 points from six matches, a point behind leaders and Merseyside rivals Everton, who have played five matches.
Former Liverpool striker Aldridge has revelled on Twitter in the win for the Reds, and he has made a sarcastic remark about Klopp’s side being “bang average” and still in second place.
Title march
Liverpool suffered a humiliating 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa before the international break, but the Reds have done well since then.
The Merseyside club are as many as five points ahead of Manchester City already, and are bagging the points despite not being at their very best.
