Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has told the Leeds United official podcast that he heard Crystal Palace’s Gary Cahill shouting how far off the pace his side were on Monday evening.
Leeds beat Palace 2-0 at Elland Road in their last outing, and they thoroughly dominated the contest.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side were at their destructive best as they cruised to the three points.
And Bamford has revealed that Cahill was not happy at all at his teammate’s performance.
He said: “For Palace, they seemed to step off us and let us do what we wanted to do.
“Gary Cahill was saying in the second-half, we’re not at it today, we’re so slow at doing everything.
“I just thought they were passive.”
Cahill’s frustration at his side’s display was understandable, as Leeds really did dominate proceedings.
The Whites ran out 2-0 winners but in truth the margin of victory could have been greater.
Bamford was one of Leeds’ scorers on the night, with Jack Harrison getting the other goal.
Leeds have now moved up into the top half of the Premier League table, while Palace sit in 13th place.
