Patrick Bamford has revealed on the Leeds United podcast that Marcelo Bielsa was keen to hold a team meeting to get the Brighton & Hove Albion game out of his side’s system.

Leeds were beaten 2-0 by Brighton at the weekend and they never really got going in the match.

Leeds failed to show their usual attacking flair at the weekend, and Bamford suggested that Bielsa’s team meeting just highlighted how much went wrong.

“We analysed it all yesterday,” Bamford said.

“He just said he wanted to get it all out the way and done and dusted so we can concentrate on Spurs.

“There were things that we didn’t do right. We didn’t move enough, we didn’t attack where we wanted to and didn’t defend how we wanted to.
You could sum it up by saying nothing went the way we planned.”

Leeds had been in great form prior to the Brighton game, so supporters could hardly be too harsh on their side after one defeat.

But the Whites will surely be looking to improve in future weeks and get back to their usual standards.

Leeds had just two shots on target away at Brighton, and getting back to winning ways could be easier said than done.

Bielsa’s side are next in action against a Tottenham Hotspur side who seem rejuvenated under Ryan Mason, and only a much improved display will see them have any chance of collecting three points.
