Patrick Bamford has told the Ornstein and Chapman podcast that Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has made him watch videos of Erling Braut Haaland recently.
Bielsa is a huge advocate of video analysis, and Bamford has been sent clips of the Norwegian forward, as he looks to improve his own play.
The Leeds striker says that he needs to learn from Haaland’s running power, as the 20-year-old really drives into space.
“Throughout the week you get sent various things,” Bamford said.
“Sometimes you get clips of the defender you will be playing against.
“The last three weeks I had two or three videos sent every day of Erling Haaland, like 15 minutes each one.
“I had to watch them and see what I could pick out from him.
“To be honest it was quite similar to some of his goals [his goal against Chelsea].

“I think I can work on the explosiveness of some of my runs sometimes. Sometimes I make a run without 100 per cent determination or conviction.”
If Bamford can up his scoring rate to somewhere near the level of Haaland’s then that would be a major boost for Leeds.
The Borussia Dortmund man has managed to net 17 goals in 14 games this season, which is simply remarkable.
Bamford is having a strong campaign himself though, and has adjusted to life in the Premier League better than many expected.
The Leeds front men has eight goals in 11 top flight games and is rapidly proving that Bielsa was right to put his trust in him.
