Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has said to the Leeds United official podcast that Raphinha is a brilliant finisher in training.

Raphinha has taken great acclaim for his performances in recent weeks, with the Leeds summer signing emerging as a real start now.

The Brazilian looks to be one of the standout creative players in the Premier League.

And Bamford has now revealed that Raphinha impressed everyone at Leeds right from his very first training session.

He said: “Sometimes in training you can tell straight away. And straight away you could see that his finishing and everything is good.”

The Leeds striker also revealed that while Raphinha still doesn’t speak great English, they still have a good relationship, as they both can communicate in French.

“When he joined he doesn’t speak English great, he can understand it and can speak a very small amount, he’s doing lessons at the minute,” Bamford added.

“But because I can speak French a little bit, he was in France for a year, so we kind of speak in French.

“We kind of had that rapport straight away because I made a bit of effort.

“I made a joke with him after the Newcastle game when he shot instead of squaring it to me for a tap-in and ever since then he’s always looked for me and we’re always talking on the pitch.”

Bamford and Raphinha certainly combined well in Leeds’ last game, as they picked up a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

The Whites were the dominant force in the contest, as they picked up a comfortable three points.

Leeds are next in action against Arsenal on Sunday, when Bamford and Raphinha both look set to start again.
