Patrick Bamford has admitted on the official Leeds United podcast that even Marcelo Bielsa was mocking Ezgjan Alioski’s new look.
Alioski has never been afraid of making himself stand out, and his new platinum blonde hair certainly does that.
Unfortunately for the left-back, it seems that he has been the source of some ridicule from his Leeds teammates of late.
And even Bielsa was joining in with the jokes, when Alioski arrived to training sporting his new style.
He said: “I think he looks like Megan Rapinoe! When he came in I got a picture of her and I said ‘is that what you’ve gone for?’’
“Even the manager tried to make a joke about it – it was really long winded.
“It was about had he dyed his hair that colour as he had an older girlfriend who was 60. I didn’t quite get it, but of course the whole group laughed.”
Bamford’s insight just shows the relationship Bielsa now has with the group.
Although the Leeds boss can look fairly introverted in interviews, he really is loved by the Whites’ players.
Alioski, meanwhile, has kept with his look, despite being the source of some jokes.
He and Leeds will next be in action on Sunday, when they take on Manchester United.
