The Miami Heat’s seven-game winning streak has come to an end.
The Miami Heat and the Detroit Pistons engaged in a phenomenal high-scoring game during the 2025-26 NBA season.
With the Heat on a seven-game winning streak, they were expected to extend the Pistons’ two-game losing streak.
However, after the end of regulation, the Heat suffered a heartbreaking 138-135 loss. Despite the loss, Andrew Wiggins made headlines for his performance.

Bam Adebayo admits he hated the Miami Heat wasted Andrew Wiggins’ terrific performance
In the three-point defeat, Wiggins contributed 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in 37 minutes of playing time.
With Wiggs averaging 17.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game for the season, it was certainly an ‘outbreak’ game for the veteran forward.
That’s exactly why Heat center Bam Adebayo was furious about his team’s loss against the Pistons.
“There’s been a couple games where he’s floated under the radar, but doing the little things. And he has this outbreak game today, where you see his ceiling, see what he can be,” Adebayo said.
He added: “I hate it feels like a wasted effort, but it’s good to have him back out there, get in a rhythm and get into a flow, because he’s not going to do anything but help this team.”
At the end of the day, it’s just a single game, and Wiggins will have more such games. The Heat just need to ensure they learn from their mistakes and dominate next time.
Tyler Herro on Andrew Wiggins’ fit with the Miami Heat
Adebayo wasn’t alone in reacting to Wiggins’ elite performance as star guard Tyler Herro also shared his thoughts on the 30-year-old’s fit on the Heat.
“Wiggs, as he’s getting downhill, you know how effective and aggressive he can be and also just getting down in transition,” Herro said.
It’s great to know the best abilities of your teammates, and Herro certainly seems up to date in that regard in the case of Wiggins.
Hopefully, it will translate into more high-scoring games for the 2022 NBA champion in the future.
