Many West Ham United fans have suggested that they would like to sign James Tavernier from Glasgow Rangers.

TeamTalk suggest that West Ham want the Rangers right-back, as they seek to add defensive recruits to their squad this summer.

David Moyes has made strengthening his side’s backline one of his top priorities.

And West Ham supporters would like to see Tavernier brought to the Premier League, after a number of impressive seasons at Rangers.

Rangers will surely be determined to keep hold of Tavernier, so doing business won’t be easy.

The right-back could be a difficult player for Steven Gerrard to replace, given his goal threat and attacking ability, and their task would only be made tougher as the transfer deadline is drawing closer.

Tavernier could have a direct route into West Ham’s first-team if he does join though.

West Ham’s full-back options haven’t entirely convinced in recent times, and it would not be a surprise to see Tavernier take Ryan Fredericks’ place in Moyes’s starting line-up.
