Sunderland youngster Bali Mumba has been given seven games this season by Jack Ross.
Mumba is regarded as Sunderland’s brightest up and coming prospect, but he has only received limited game time so far this season.
And the Sunderland youngster admits that leaving the Stadium of Light on a temporary basis to get more game time could be an option in the new year.
He said: “Right now I think I’m at a good spot, good place, getting minutes for the under-23s and coming up for the first team.
“For my age it’s a good thing to be doing, getting experience playing against bigger physical lads.
“Loan talks, I haven’t heard much yet, me and the gaffer will try and discuss it, but right now I’m in a good space.
“I think what I’m doing is enough but I want to do more. We’ll soon have that conversation and see what we want to do about loans.”
Mumba is still only 17, so Sunderland may still want to keep him at the club to keep a close eye on his development.
However, the youngster has proven that he is capable of playing senior football, despite his tender years.
Mumba has made seven appearances for Sunderland this term across all competitions, but the large majority of these showings have come as a substitute.
If Mumba was to leave Sunderland on loan, it seems that a switch to League Two would be his most likely option.
