Real Madrid superstar adamant leaving Tottenham for the Spanish capital in 2013 was a smart move.
Gareth Bale has told The Times he believes he has been proven correct in leaving Tottenham for Real Madrid in 2013.
While Spurs are looking as good as ever, Bale has been outstanding for Real Madrid and has won two Champions League medals since his world record move.

Real paid £86 million to sign Bale, and yesterday he put pen to paper on a new contract which extends his deal at the Bernabeu until 2022.
He said: “I love it out here and think I’ve definitely made the right decision.
“We’ve won two Champions Leagues in three years since I joined; that’s better than anyone else. It matches all my ambitions.”

It can’t hurt that Bale is now earning more than he could have dreamed of at Spurs, with The Times claiming he is set to earn a staggering £18 million per year.
In addition to his two Champions League trophies, Bale has one Copa del Rey, but he is yet to win La Liga, and will be determined to set that right this year.
After 10 games in the league, Real are unbeaten and have collected 24 points, two more than rivals and reigning champions Barcelona.
