Gareth Bale has raved about Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min’s attitude on Sky Sports.
Bale has said that Tottenham forward Son is the nicest person in the entire world.
The Wales international played with the 28-year-old at Tottenham last season.
The winger spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Spurs from Real Madrid.
What’s been said?
Bale said about Son on Sky Sports, as transcribed by Football.London. when asked if he is the nicest person: “In the world I would probably say. He literally is. No matter what it is, he’s always happy apart from when we lose. Then he’s sad for a couple of hours but then his smile comes back. He’s an amazing guy. He’s definitely the nicest guy on the planet.
“Just his personality in the dressing room, he’s always smiling, joking, laughing and he also picks up everyone around him. His smile just cheers the room up.”

Role model
Football is a tough business. The pressure is massive, and at times it can become hard for players to enjoy the sport they dearly love.
Son’s attitude seems so positive.
The South Korea international – who cost Spurs £22 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2015, according to The Guardian – does not seem to be fazed by the pressure that football brings.
It is very encouraging indeed.

Perhaps Son playing so well season after season is related to his attitude.
The South Korea international scored 17 goals and gave 10 assists in the Premier League last season.
In 2019-20, Son scored 11 goals and gave 10 assists in the league.
If you always feel the pressure and are constantly worried, then it can be hard to do your job to the best of your ability.
Son surely knows how important it is to win football matches, but his attitude to get over defeats soon and not to dwell on them for long is something that a lot of footballers should look to emulate.
