Could Real Madrid make a move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah?

Well-known Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has told Sky Sports that Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is not on the radar of Real Madrid.

The Daily Star quoted Egypt national football team manager Hector Cuper as saying earlier this month that he has received information about Madrid’s interest in Salah.

Balague, who works for Sky Sports, has said that there is no interest from the Spanish and Europe giants in the 25-year-old Egypt international forward.

“At this moment in time I understand Salah is not on Real Madrid’s radar,” Balague told Sky Sports when asked if Salah is a real option for Madrid next summer.

“They are looking to bring in goalkeeper Kepa and a striker once Bale’s future is decided. Those two situations need to be sorted before we know exactly what Real Madrid are doing.”

Salah joined Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Liverpool Echo to be worth £34.3 million.

The 25-year-old former Chelsea winger has been a hit at Anfield, and is scoring goals and creating chances for fun.

The Egypt international has scored five goals in the Champions League and 12 goals in the Premier League so far this season.

Balague’s comments should assure Liverpool fans about the future of Salah, although if the winger continues to perform the way he is doing right now until the end of the season, then he could well find himself on Madrid’s wishlist next summer.
