Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Andre Gomes of Barcelona in the January transfer window.

The Express reported earlier this month that Tottenham are interested in signing Gomes from Barcelona in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino wanted to sign the 24-year-old midfielder in the summer of 2017 as well.

Well-known Spanish football journalist Balague, who works for Sky Sports, has claimed that Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde does not want to sell the former Valencia and Benfica star in the January transfer window.
Balague, though, has stated that the agent of the Portugal international midfielder has told Spanish and European giants Barca that the player would like to move on.

Gomes has been on the books of Barcelona since the summer of 2016 when he joined from La Liga rivals Valencia for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £29.3 million.
Balague told Sky Sports when asked about Gomes to Tottenham speculation: “Valverde wants to keep Andre Gomes.
“His agent, Jorge Mendes, has told Barcelona that he would like to move on but Valverde wants to keep him. That’s what is coming from Barcelona.”
