Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been told of Everton’s interest, according to Guillem Balague.

The Sky Sports pundit, who specialises in Spanish football, had earlier claimed that Everton have contacted Nuno about replacing Ronald Koeman on Merseyside.

And in a follow up tweet on Tuesday morning, Balague added that the Portuguese coach has already given his response.

Guillem Balague, Sky Sports Journalist talks during day 2 of the Soccerex Global Convention at Manchester Central Convention Complex on September 5, 2017 in Manchester, England.

The Spaniard wrote: “Nuno has been told of interest by Everton but does not want to move… ‘even if the best team in the world comes calling,’ I have been told”.

Nuno, who managed Rio Ave, Valencia and Porto before moving to Wolves earlier this year, has led the Black Country club to the top of the Championship this season.

He has, however, had a helping hand from one of football’s most prestigious agents, Jorge Mendes, who has delivered high profile clients such as Helder Costa, Ruben Neves and Diego Jota to Molineux.

Everton, meanwhile, sit 18th in the Premier League, despite spending close to £150 million on players during the summer transfer window.

The Toffees are in their 64th consecutive top flight season.

If true, is Nuno right to dismiss Everton’s interest?
