The Manchester United goalkeeper continues to be linked with a move back to his homeland.

Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has taken to Twitter to give an update on the future of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea
The 26-year-old has regularly been linked with a move to Real Madrid, even going so far as to see a deal fall through at the eleventh hour during Louis van Gaal’s time in charge.
He has put that disappointment behind him to focus on getting United back to where they belong, and he has added League Cup and FA Cup winners’ medals to his collection with the Europa League final to follow later this month.
Writing on social media on Wednesday afternoon, Balague said, “The changing room of Real Madrid is convinced De Gea will be a Real player. He will earn less than at United. But why do United let him go?”
The Spanish international has featured 269 times for United since arriving from Atletico Madrid as a 20-year-old.
After a shaky start he has become one of the best ‘keepers in world football and United would be loath to let him go, regardless of the price.

With two years left on his current contract United still have the ball in their court, but having already kept him out of Real’s grasp once, can they do it again?
Much will depend on United boss Jose Mourinho and if he can convince De Gea to sign another deal to ensure his value does not drop if he does remain at Old Trafford for another year.
