Chelsea’s deal for the Frenchman is not yet complete, however, and Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be keen.
Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko celebrates his goal against Manchester City
Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, Sky Sports’ Guillem Balague claims.
The France international has excelled for the principality club this season, helping them to the top of Ligue 1 and the last eight of the Champions League.
Despite the success of Leonardo Jardim’s side, it is likely that a number of their standout performers will depart this summer – and Bakayoko could be first out of the Stade Louis II according to Balague.
There is, however, one last thing Chelsea must do before landing the 22-year-old.
“Monaco’s Bakayoko has agreed personal terms with Chelsea,” posted the Spaniard on Twitter. “[The] Next step is for Chelsea to pay Monaco more than anybody else for the midfielder.”
Bakayoko is also said to be interesting Manchester clubs United and City (Daily Record), the latter of whom he scored against in last week’s Champions League last-16 encounter.
However, it appears the pair will now have to move fast if they are to snare the former Rennes midfielder.

Bakayoko, who replaced Manchester United’s Paul Pogba in Didier Deschamps’ latest France squad, has scored three goals and created one for Les Monegasques this season.
Would Chelsea be a good move for Bakayoko, or should Manchester United/Manchester City pounce?
