The Crystal Palace winger suffered an injury in the draw with West Ham United.

Crystal Palace weren’t at their best as they drew 1-1 away to West Ham United last night and, aside from the performance, there was another negative to take from proceedings for Roy Hodgson’s side as Bakary Sako suffered a potentially serious injury.
The winger has produced some encouraging performances of late but had to be substituted in the 41st minute of the game at the London Stadium, with Hodgson admitting that he was concerned about the injury, as reported by Sky Sports.

Sako’s combination of strength, speed and flair makes him a very difficult player for opposing defenders to deal with and if Palace are without the 29-year-old for a significant period then it will certainly be a major blow.
Despite currently being in 12th place in the Premier League, Palace are just three points clear of the relegation zone and have played a game more than many of the sides around them.

There is much work for Palace to do in order to preserve their top flight status and being without Sako would undoubtedly make their task considerably harder, with a replacement surely having to be brought in.
