According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 60, June 10, 2018), Wolves are planning a £4 million move for Leeds goalkeeper Peacock-Farrell this summer (click here to read more).
The report has claimed that the Wanderers, who won automatic promotion from the Championship this summer, want the 21-year-old as well as Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
John Ruddy is already at Wolves and was the first-choice goalkeeper at the Molineux Stadium during the 2018-19 campaign, meaning that Peacock-Farrell will potentially be the third choice between the posts at the Wanderers.
That would stunt the progress of Peacock-Farrell, who established himself as the number one goalkeeper at Leeds in the final weeks of the past season.
True, the Northern Ireland international would have to prove himself to the new manager, who may sign an established goalkeeper, but people at the club already know how good he is and value him.
Having tasted regular first-football at Leeds, joining Wolves and becoming the third-choice goalkeeper would be a backward step for Peacock-Farrell, one he should not take.
