Jamal Blackman has joined Leeds United on loan from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Blackman has joined Championship club Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper will be aiming to challenge 21-year-old Peacock-Farrell for a spot in the Whites’ starting lineup.
Peacock-Farrell has said that he gets on along well with Blackman, who spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Sheffield United from Chelsea.
“He’s a really good guy and we get on well,” Peacock-Farrell told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Blackman. “I can’t speak for every team but with the goalkeepers union we all get on really well.
“We’re in each others pockets and we have to support each other whoever plays. You’re there to support him but also the team as well. It’s only positive vibes.”

Competing for the number one spot
Both Peacock-Farrell and Blackman are very good and talented young goalkeepers, and the fight for the number one spot this season is going to be very healthy for Leeds.
The two young goalkeepers will be pushing each other as the season progresses, and that can only be good for the team.
Peacock-Farrell is not as experienced as Blackman is, but the Northern Ireland international goalkeeper showed towards the end of last season just how good he is.
