Celtic are taking a look at defender Bahlul Mustafazada.

Gabala defender Bahlul Mustafazada has told Football Plus in Azerbaijan that he’s yet to hear anything about the possibility of a new contract, amid talk of a move to Celtic.
Celtic will be in the market for at least one centre back this summer, possibly two as Dedryck Boyata will leave when his contract expires and loanee Filip Benkovic will return to Leicester City.
The Bhoys won’t receive any money for either player’s exit, and that means that they may need to get creative and dig deep for bargain replacements this summer.
One such candidate is Gabala defender Mustafazada, who is something of an unknown but has seemingly been identified by Celtic as a potential summer signing.
The Daily Record report that Celtic are taking Mustafazada on trial with a view to a permanent move, giving the 22-year-old a chance to earn a switch to Glasgow.
Mustafazada hasn’t even been capped by Azerbaijan yet, but is considered as a prospect for the future, and can be signed for free given that he’s out of contract in a matter of weeks.

Now, Mustafazada has suggested that he’s yet to even hear from Gabala about a new contract, believing that they’re focused on their league campaign right now, increasing the prospect of a bargain move to Celtic.
“I have not had any contact with the club on whether or not my contract will be extended,” said Mustafazada. “Probably now everyone is waiting for the end of the season, because they are focused on the league,” he added.
