Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has confirmed interest in Bordeaux forward and Tottenham target Malcom.

Tottenham Hotspur may have just received a blow in their pursuit of Bordeaux’s Malcom, with Jupp Heynckes confirming Bayern Munich are tracking the forward.
As the Evening Standard reports, both Spurs and rivals Arsenal have shown interest in the Brazilian and they watched him closely during the January transfer window.

In the end both clubs signed players in the 21-year-old’s position, with Lucas Moura arriving at Tottenham from Paris Saint-Germain and the Gunners signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United in a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez go the other way.
Now any hope they had of landing Malcom, who is expected to leave his current side this summer and is valued at around £45m, could be hindered by Bayern.

“He’s certainly in the focus of our scouting department, like many other players as well,” Heynckes told German publication Bild.
“[Sporting director] Hasan Salihamidzic has very clear ideas and is driving forward the plans for next season.
“He knows exactly who is in our sights and which players he would like to have. He has high quality players in mind.”
Malcom has been in fine form in Ligue 1 this season, two-and-a-half years after leaving Corinthians in his native Brazil, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in 25 matches.
