Everton and West Ham United are keen on signing Jack Wilshere this summer but he is still holding out for a new Arsenal contract.
Everton and West Ham United will have to wait a little longer if they are to discover if they can sign Jack Wilshere from Arsenal on a free transfer this summer.
Wilshere is out of contract at the end of the season and the Sun reports that both clubs are interested in him, but the midfielder himself is keen to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
The current stumbling block in making that happen for the England international concerns wages, with the Gunners only prepared to offer him £90,000-a-week to sign a new deal – a 25 percent decrease from his current earnings of £120,000-a-week.
The Toffees and West Ham, meanwhile, would increase what Wilshere is already paid in an attempt to try and get the 26-year-old to leave the club where he came through as an academy product.
AC Milan and Juventus have also shown interest in the Englishman, who could jet off the 2018 World Cup in Russia with his future still unresolved.
Wilshere has worked his way back into Arsene Wenger’s starting XI this season after recovering from injury, playing 31 matches in all competitions to date.
