Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to Ezri Konsa’s reaction moments after Danny Ings scored his overhead kick against Newcastle on Saturday.

It left many speechless at Villa Park, as Matty Cash’s long-throw, followed by Tyrone Mings’ flick, resulted in Ings channelling his inner Wayne Rooney and rocketing that ball into the back of the net in an acrobatic fashion.

Whilst Ings went wielding towards the corner flag in celebration of scoring his first goal on Villa soil.

Villa supporters noticed Konsa’s reaction as he realised that he had seen something special.

But the hard-hitting centre-back was probably every other Villa supporter because that was a special way for Ings to mark his home debut.

That’s two goals in two for the Englishman and it will be interesting to see if he earns an England call this week.

Ings missed out on a Euro 2020 spot in the summer, including the extended squad that Gareth Southgate named, with the then-Southampton hitman ironically enough getting pipped to that spot by Ollie Watkins.

But Southgate is set to name his squad for England’s qualifiers next month and Ings will feel he has a chance of getting picked.

Even if he isn’t selected, one thing is for sure, he is showing signs that it won’t be too long before he is donning that Three Lions jersey once more.

Here is a selection of Villa fans reacting to Konsa’s reaction moments after Ings scored on over the weekend:
