Liverpool’s summer transfer window might’ve been a little bit cursed, in retrospect.

Jurgen Klopp signed three senior players for the Reds and all three have picked up relatively serious injuries since arriving on Merseyside.

Thiago Alcantara has only managed 241 minutes of Premier League football in four months – the equivalent of less than three full matches – and Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas are both sidelined at the moment.

Tsimikas and Jota – who, in particular, has been an absolute revelation since joining Liverpool from Wolves – got injured at the same time, with Klopp revealing that both are looking at a ‘similar’ amount of time on the sidelines – two months.

But that was less than a month ago and the Greece international might be ahead of schedule.

Tsimikas, an £11 million signing from Olympiacos, has dropped hint on Instagram that he’ll be ‘back soon’.

There’s no hurry on getting the Greek back, such is Andy Robertson’s brilliance at left-back, but Jota was scoring goals for fun prior to his injury and Klopp – who has Thiago fit at the moment – will want the Portuguese attacker available as soon as possible.
